91ÌìÌà host U11 IAPS hockey tournament - 91ÌìÌÃ

91ÌìÌÃ

Wonderful spring weather greeted the 16 teams who arrived at 91ÌìÌà for the regional round of the U11 Boys’ IAPS Hockey Tournament. All three Astroturfs were in use all day and the 91ÌìÌà team were raring to go as hosts.

In their first game against New Beacon our boys fought valiantly but were out classed by some very skilful players and were defeated 3-1. In the second group game they faced Battle Abbey School and dominated from the outset as they moved the ball with pace and a full attacking display led to a 3-0 win. The 91ÌìÌà team were full of confidence for the cup semi-finals, however Edgeborough were extremely good and secured a comfortable 3-0 win. Although our boys did not progress to the final, they played extremely well, demonstrated a great work ethic and some excellent teamwork throughout.

The tournament was a huge success and really showcased the quality of hockey in local prep schools and we look forward to hosting further tournaments in the future Ben Dewey, Head of Boys’ Sport (Prep)
